Ephesians 2: 1-10

Made Alive in Christ

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[fn] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

How do you convince someone else to believe??
We can’t. We can share what we know and then, we know that we have to leave the rest to the Spirit of God. I know you know. And I get the same way when it’s me trying to find the right words and you would be telling me the same thing. It’s what we do <3

10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. As I read this, I realize that yesterday, which was a MURPHY’S LAW kind of day, was prepared in advance for me to do. It wasn’t until this morning as I was incorporating yesterday circumstances into my writing that I saw the lessons. So many lessons in what felt like and really was, communication failures yesterday. I got a speeding ticket! Which is hilarious when you really think about it. I mean, what PTSD? And then, everything… Read more »

I love this book best in the NT, Bonnie said a few days ago that the words filled her soul, that’s how this feels. When our Pastor’s daughter in Paso went to college she and her roommate memorized all of Ephesians, Ingrid came home with her on break and they came to our women’s group and recited it together word for… Read more »
